Sponsoring a pony enables us to pay for a number of vital things including grazing costs, worming, vets bills etc.  We rely entirely on sponsorship, donations and fundraising to ensure that the ponies can be looked after, trained and eventually re-homed.


In 2005 we bought four older ponies from a local farmer to become our base herd and look after the younger ponies. These ponies will be staying with us permanently and are our sponsorship ponies. Meryy, Pippin, Pixie and Trixie will be staying at the centre for sponsors to come and meet and learn more about Dartmoor Hill Ponies. We will also be taking them to various shows and fundraising events throughout the year so sponsors will have the opportunity to come and see them.

We have 3 types of sponsorship:

1) Yearly sponsorship.  £15 per year.  This includes:

• Sponsorship pack (Certificate of sponsorship,pony profile and 1 photo of your pony)
• An invitation to our open day and
• The opportunity to visit your pony (date to be confirmed.
• A Christmas and birthday card from your pony!
  

2 ) Monthly sponsorship.  £6.50 per month This includes:

• Sponsorship pack (Certificate of sponsorship, pony profile, 2 photos of your pony.)
• 3 updates per year including all the current news and photos of your pony.
• The possibility of visiting your pony throughout the year to see how it is progressing with its training, (dates will have to be discussed with us prior to visiting,) and an invitation to our open day (date to be confirmed.
• A Christmas and birthday card from your pony!
  

We have another type of sponsorship which pays entrely for the training, worming, castrating, vaccinating and feeding of one pony taken on from market. This type of sponsorship lasts a year, and sole sponsors will receive a sponsorship pack and monthly updates on their ponies progress. If you would like to be a sole sponsor of a pony with another person and want two copies of the sponsorship pack and updates then please add £20 to the total sponsorship amount.

3) Sole Sponsorship .  £600 per year or £50 per month.  This includes:

• Sponsorship pack (Certificate of sponsorship, profile on your pony and 2 beautiful photos of your pony)
• Monthly updates on your pony including pictures, information on how their training is progressing and how much they have grown etc.
• A Christmas and birthday card from your pony!
• A thank you / Goodbye pack when your pony has been re-homed with information and pictures on your ponies new home and new family.
• Possibilty of naming your pony if name is received before passport is issued.
