More work done with Socks along the same lines as before. I worked on getting him used to more movements and being stroked in other areas. Areas where unhandled horses are more sensitive being touched are the head (they are okay about the cheeks, bit are wary of being touched on the forehead, mouth area, ears. They are probably more sensitive about being touched on the forehead area, as their eyes do not allow them to see there.) the throat, underneath of the neck and underbelly (it is possible that this is because their ancestors were hunted by predators and these predators would have probably tried to attack these areas. We have worked on stroking the areas Socks is less sensitive about first, and once the ponies are more comfortable about being stroked, we will get them used to being stroked in the more sensitive areas.
